This is a budget-style kitchen in the South Side featuring soft-closing hardware, a quartz countertop and kitchen island, and engineered hardwood flooring. We opened up the space by removing the wall between the living room and the kitchen and installing a laminated veneer lumber (LVL) beam for support.
During the client’s design consultation, we identified that the original stairway ended directly at the basement wall, limiting movement and accessibility. To solve this, the stairway was repositioned and adjusted to include a platform at the bottom, with steps redirected to the right, ensuring better flow and functionality.
Kitchen Remodel in Sewickley, PA
In this home renovation in Sewickley, we removed walls to create an open-flow space between the kitchen and dining areas. The kitchen was completely renovated by installing LVL beams, custom cabinetry, a central island, marble countertops, floating shelves, a custom-made range hood, and a refaced refrigerator to match the cabinetry. Recessed lighting and LVS engineered hardwood flooring with two-piece baseboard and 3/4 round were installed to complete the polished look.

This kitchen renovation in Bethel Park was extensive and transformative. We relocated the laundry room from the kitchen to the basement, removed five closets around the kitchen and first floor to create an open space, and took down the wall between the kitchen and dining room. The project features custom cabinets handcrafted by Amish carpenters, countertops from Armina Stone, a custom-built range hood, and a farmhouse sink.
Hardwood floors span the entire first floor, complemented by new railings and refinished stained treads on the stairs to the second floor. We included a wine cooler with a face frame matching the cabinets, floating shelves, a tiled backsplash, and crown molding for the cabinets. The LVL beam between the kitchen and dining room was elegantly wrapped in wood rather than drywall.

The customer reached out to us in a bind after their previous contractor left in the middle of their bedroom and bathroom remodel in Fox Chapel, PA. Having only completed the framing of walls and ceilings, the client needed to resume the project ASAP. We stepped in and took over from the framing stage, starting with drywall and then moving to finishes.
Our work included installing wood plank ceilings, a tiled shower, wood beams, and all paint, doors, and trim. We also added a barn-style door to the bathroom. The customer chose to subcontract the flooring and the stonework on the fireplace to specialists.
A year later, they called on us again to renovate the bathrooms on their second floor.
